Former School Service Driver Reunites w/ Passenger After More Than 10 Years, Touching Hearts Online
A netizen was touched after being reunited with the tricycle driver who used to serve as his school transport and was driven by him again after more than 10 years.
A 26-year-old from Taytay man named Nard Valiente unexpectedly rode with the same tricycle driver who used to bring him home from school when he was still in high school. More than a decade has passed since their regular trips together.
Valiente shared that he was able to ride with his former school service driver again after over 10 years.
The driver was identified as 45-year-old Rodel Gazmen, better known as Kuya Joker. According to Valiente, Gazmen was not always his regular service driver during high school, but he was often the one who picked him up and brought him home after classes.
The driver became a familiar and important part of his daily routine during his student years.
Valiente described Kuya Joker as a cheerful and kind person who always greeted passengers with a smile. Their long years of acquaintance made him feel more like a family member than just a driver.

The tricycle driver said that many students grew close to him because of his friendly personality and easygoing nature.
One lesson that stayed with Valiente over the years came from Kuya Joker’s advice about working hard and valuing education. Although the message was simple, it left a lasting impact on him and made the most of the opportunities they have.
Valiente also shared that he wanted to recognize the people who played a role in his journey. He expressed gratitude to Kuya Joker for safely bringing students home and for being part of many cherished childhood memories.
“Salamat, Kuya Joker. Salamat sa pag-iingat at paghatid sa amin nang ligtas noong mga panahong nag-aaral pa lang kami. Siguro hindi mo rin alam kung gaano kalaki yung naging parte mo sa mga simpleng alaala ng kabataan namin,” Nard said.
