PAGASA Says TD Lannie Set To Exit PAR But Inclement Weather is Expected

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (October 6)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Tropical Depression Lannie would continue to bring cloudy to rainy conditions as it set to leave the country’s vicinity.

On Wednesday (October 6, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Tropical Depression Lannie would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

Lannie has been last spotted 670 kilometers west of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 55 kph moving 25 kph at a northwestward direction.

Cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA would also experience similar weather condition with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains due to Lannie’s trough.

“Itong bagyong ito ay wala nang direktang epekto sa ating bansa kaya wala pong nakataas na Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal,” weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region as well as entire Visayas and the remaining parts of the country.

Tropical Depression Lannie is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility anytime today.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over most parts of the country would be moderate to rough. “These conditions are risky for those using small seacrafts. Mariners are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions,” PAGASA said.
