PAGASA Says Localized Thunderstorms & Typhoon Mindulle’s Trough to Affect PH Weather

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the localized thunderstorms and Typhoon Mindulle’s trough would bring cloudy to rainy conditions over parts of the country.

On Friday (October 1, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Typhoon Mindulle’s trough and the localized thunderstorms would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that Typhoon Mindulle has been last spotted at 2, 085 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon. It has maximum sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 190 kph.

Mindulle’s trough would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The localized thunderstorms would bring similar weather condition over entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country would also have the same weather condition but possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA also reported that one to two tropical storms are expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility for the month of October. “Ngayong Oktubre, may inaasahan tayong isa o dalawang bagyo ,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would be slight to moderate due to the light to moderate wind speed moving in the northwest to west direction and southeast wind to southwest.
