Is this what Vice Ganda feels after Ate Gay announced how much he has given him as a help?
VICE GANDA – Kapamilya host and superstar Vice Ganda expressed sadness after people lambasted him for giving “Php 20k only” to this person.
In a previous article, after some people online claimed that Vice Ganda paid the Php 600k hospital bill of Ate Gay, the latter stand-up comedian clarified that this is not true. Accordingly, it was his sibling who paid the total amount. This has also prompted Ate Gay to just reveal the names who extended their financial help to him and how much they have given him.
He said in a post:
“Para matigil na ito .. eto mga nagbigay sa aking hindi ko hiningi … Paolo balesteros 30k beks batallion 30k calvin chua 20k vice ganda 20k ogie diaz 10k ogie alcasid teri onor 10k sir jon 10k.. at ang kapatid ko 600k…”
Meanwhile, what has many people emphasized is the bigger amount Paolo Ballesteros has given Ate Gay compared to Vice’s. Netizens lambasted the superstar because he gave “little” despite his wealth. In this time of the pandemic, is Php 20k really that small?
In the recent episode of Showtime, Vice Ganda aired his sentiments about the comments and disappointments because he only took out Php 20k from his pocket to help someone. He did not drop any names but expressed that he feels sad about the reactions from the people online. It hurt him.
It pained him knowing that the help extended wasn’t appreciated, but instead, they were asking more from him. He stated, “Di ba, may ganyan, e, tinulungan mo na, maldita pa. Tapos binigyan mo na ng kanan, hihingin pa yung kaliwa. Tapos pag hindi mo naibigay, mali pa yung pagbibigay mo ng kanan. Yung parang, ‘Ha?’”
He then narrated a story that happened to him in real life, “Parang… may natulungan ako. Hindi ko ipinagmalaking meron akong natulungan, pero yung tinulungan ko, sinabi niyang tinulungan ko siya. Tapos nilabas niya kung magkano yung itinulong ko sa kanya. Tapos nabasa ko sa mga comments, sabi ng mga comments, ‘Ha, ganun lang pala binigay ni Vice Ganda, twenty thousand lang?’”
“Parang napalunok ako. Parang, ‘Pag ako ba yung tumulong, dapat may presyo? May ceiling?’ … Parang, kapag hindi ka tumulong, ang sama-sama mo. Pag tumulong ka, kukuwestyunin pa, ‘Bakit yun lang ang itinulong mo?’ That hurts so much,” he added.
Was he referring to the buzz his help to Ate Gay has created?
