Cops Arrest Akyat-Bahay Suspect Who Takes Shower in House He Entered
An akyat-bahay suspect was caught after taking a shower inside the house he had allegedly entered in Tarlac City.
On early Tuesday morning (July 14, 2026), a man suspected of attempting to break into a home was caught taking a shower inside the house he had entered in Barangay San Vicente. According to local officials, the incident happened shortly after 5:00 a.m.
The homeowner was awakened by unusual sounds coming from the bathroom. At first, he thought one of his family members might be awake. However, after checking on his children, he found that they were still fast asleep.
The homeowner decided to inspect the bathroom. To his surprise, he discovered a man he did not recognize taking a shower inside his home.
The homeowner quickly shut the bathroom door to prevent the man from escaping. He then sought assistance from barangay officials, who immediately responded to the scene. When barangay personnel arrived, they reportedly found the suspect still inside the bathroom. The man was then taken into custody without further incident.
A preliminary investigation suggested that the suspect may have gained access to the house by opening its roll-up door. Officials believe the man may have assumed that no one was inside the residence when he entered.
Barangay authorities also suspect that the man may have intended to commit theft. However, before carrying out any alleged plan, he apparently decided to use the bathroom and take a shower, leading to his discovery by the homeowner.
