Baron Geisler is a proud dad of Sophia
Seasoned actor Baron Geisler shared his thoughts on the first acting project of his daughter, Sophia Asistio.
The actor is a proud dad as his daughter ventured into the world of showbiz. To recall, it was last year when it was publicly confirmed that Sophia is Baron’s daughter with actress Nadia Montenegro.
From an initial conflict following the revelation, Baron ang Nadia resolved this, and Sophia has been seen having her bonding moments with her dad.
At a press conference, just recently, based on the article in Bandera, Baron Geisler happily expressed his belief that Sophia inherited her acting talent from both him and her mother, Nadia Montenegro.
When asked about his feelings regarding Sophia’s acting debut in Senator Robin Padilla’s film, Bad Boy 3, Baron praised his daughter, noting how well she manages to balance her studies and her acting career.
“I’m very proud of my daughter kasi unang-una nag-aaral po siya ngayon. First year college po siya. She’s doing a good job. Maganda grades niya. And sideline niya lang ‘yung pag-aarte,” the actor said.
He added that Sophia’s natural acting talent is clearly evident. For him, the reason why Sophia is gifted because acting is in her blood, from both of her parents.
Then, Baron shared his message to his daughter. “So Sophia, I’m very proud of you. I love you. And actually kahapon lang magkatext kami,” the actor said.
Baron also revealed that his daughter asked for his permission before fully entering showbiz. “Yes,” the actor said when asked if Sophia had sought his approval.
However, he clarified that he had one condition before allowing it. The actor said that first and foremost, he wants his daughter to prioritize her studies, but if she can manage both, that’s fine.
He stressed that still, Sophia needs to focus more on her studies. The newbie actress is taking up Business Management.
Meanwhile, Nadia had previously revealed in another interview that it was Robin himself who encouraged Sophia to accept the project. “Actually, hindi ko siya kinonvince, si Robin talaga ang may idea. Siya raw ang manager,” the seasoned actress shared.
