After months of rumors and speculation, Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo and Puregold Price Club president Vincent Co have reportedly tied the knot. The news comes after their relationship became the subject of intense public attention, particularly following reports surrounding the postponement of their supposed wedding in Spain, which fueled uncertainty and various narratives about their status.
Recently, putting an end to the speculations, photos of the couple tying the knot discreetly in a civil wedding emerged online.
The couple exchanged vows in an intimate civil ceremony at the Makati City Hall on Monday, July 13, with Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay officiating the wedding. Reports said the ceremony was intentionally kept private, attended by only six guests to maintain its low-key nature.
According to a close source of the Manila Standard, the Spain wedding was just postponed, not canceled, because of the rumors that circulated.
“Initially, the wedding was just postponed, then someone suddenly claimed it was canceled. After that came numerous demolition jobs against the groom, which was simply not right. In the end, love prevailed, and they decided to have a quiet civil wedding without relatives from either side present,” the source said.
The source likewise dismissed rumors linking the couple’s alleged split to a prenuptial agreement, saying Bea and Vincent signed one without it ever becoming an issue in their relationship. The insider also noted that Co has long been warmly welcomed by Alonzo’s family.
Among the reported witnesses were the owners of Secosana, the bag brand behind Alonzo’s “Bash Bag” collaboration.
The newlyweds are yet to issue an official statement confirming their marriage.
