BEA ALONZO – After almost two decades, Bea Alonzo transfers to GMA and this is what she said about the controversy that stirred around her unfinished project.
Last July 1, A-list actress Bea Alonzo leaves ABS-CBN and confirmed rumors that she is transferring to the GMA network. As much as many people are aware, she has been with the ABS-CBN for almost 20 years and such a decision from her amid her home network’s struggle came as a shock to many people.

In a previous article, she shared that she is forever grateful for ABS-CBN and now, she is grateful for GMA for giving her their trust. She revealed that she took the time before coming up with the solid decision and when the deal with the Kapuso is already sure, she asked her former bosses and they were supportive of her decision. Talking to ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, she shared, “It was an emotional call. Hindi mo maiaalis (na maging emotional). Twenty years of my life I was there. They wished me good luck. I was happy I had their blessings.”
Meanwhile, several issues came up when her network switch has been made official. She accordingly has this unfinished project with the Kapamilya and when she left, she also left the crew and her co-artists hanging. And during her press conference when signed an exclusive contract with them, she spoke about this.
As per the actress, the project has been discontinued. She narrated that amidst doing the soap, the pandemic happened and several unexpected changes have been applied until it has been decided that it should just be cancelled. She also revealed that it has been also almost a year that she doesn’t have a contract and a project. And her decision to leave took her many months.
She wanted changes and the offer from the GMA came just right in time. She felt this intuition which led her now in her new home.
