Lani Mercado was asked about Bong Revilla’s situation
Cavite Second District Representative Lani Mercado shared an update about her husband, former Senator Bong Revilla, who is now detained at the Quezon City Jail.
To recall, Bong surrendered to authorities following the warrant of arrest against him in connection with the plunder case filed against him because of his alleged involvement in the anomalous flood control projects.
In May, it was reported that the celebrity couple renewed their vows inside the jail. During the event, the congressman shared her heartfelt message for her husband. “Naniniwala ako na ang lahat ng ating pinagdaanan made us stronger individually and as husband and wife, Gaya ng sambit ng awiting Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas,” she said. This was witnessed by their closest friends and loved ones.

In a recent interview, during the death anniversary of the late showbiz insider Lolit Solis, Cong. Lani Mercado said that she is taking one day at a time.
The actress-turned-politician said that she is clinging to her faith during this challenge in their lives. Currently, Congress is on break, so Lani is focused on her work in her district, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon.
She would visit her husband in the Quezon City Jail three times a week. “Pag andun ako dapat pleasant ka, ang bigat ng mundo ‘wag mong dadalhin doon,” she said.

Last week, prosecutors stated that former Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel Bonoan is being considered as a witness in the malversation case filed against former Senator Bong before the Sandiganbayan Third Division.
For now, according to Congresswoman Lani, they are simply waiting and praying fervently, knowing the truth. She also noted that Senator Bong has not been neglecting his health.
“Alam mo naman ‘yun, hindi nawawala ang exercise, buhay niya na ‘yun,” Lani Mercado said.
