ABS-CBN failed to secure a franchise which made some of their stars move to other networks and joining Beauty Gonzales, Pokwang and John Lloyd Cruz in the GMA network is Bea Alonzo. She just signed a contract with them after some weeks of rumors about it. Rumors were true indeed. She is “ProudToBEAKapuso” and such hashtag is trending online as of this posting along with #KapamilyaForever and “Bea Alonzo” as confirmation hit the headlines.

Early this week, GMA teased about the award-winning actress and one of the biggest artists in Philippine showbiz who is turning a Kapuso and it sent netizens abuzz. Bea, being officially a Kapuso now, is going to do the Philippine adaptation of the 2004 Korean film “A Moment to Remember” together with Alden Richards, one of the best actors of GMA.

As she finally signed the contract Marian Rivera, the queen of the network, warmly welcomed her. Others who also welcomed her through a video message were Richard Yap, Khalil Ramos, Gabbi Garcia, Camille Prats, Ruru Madrid, and Barbie Forteza.

Meanwhile, almost a year ago, the actress has this post after her former network received a landslide of votes for the non-renewal of its franchise. It said, “Tapos na ang botohan. Nakakatulala. Parang panaginip. Yakap mga kapamilya..”

Many have questioned her loyalty but many were also supportive of her decision to do this. It’s has been almost a year since the Kapamilya network shut down and since her contract expired, she did not renew it right away, hence, the big career move of the actress.
