Alden Richards revealed this about his new project with Jasmine Curtis
Kapuso Pambansang Bae Alden Richards revealed the reason why he was apprehensive about his new series The World Between Us with Jasmine Curtis.
Last year, Alden and Jasmine worked together in the Kapuso series Love On The Balcony. Through that, viewers saw the chemistry between them and many loved their tandem. This year, they are working together on a new series but Alden said that at first, he was apprehensive to accept this project, based on the article in Bandera.
“Actually, noong una kong nabasa iyong script ng The World Between Us, I was a little bit apprehensive about it. Hindi ako sure, the story was based on the novel, ‘Wuthering Heights,’” the actor said.
Alden Richards stressed that he was looking for a project that is more concentrated on the “acting piece side.” Then, his mind changed after the project was explained further to him.
“When we started taping it, When we started reading the script, iba iyong nababasa mo na siya kesa naririnig mo lang siya sa kuwento. Parang that started the fire within me to create this character na normal na tao, na very relatable,” the actor-host shared. He added that it has been part of the culture of Filipino viewers to find a character that they can relate to.
Alden also said that so far, this is the best TV series he has done. “No offense to my other teleseryes. I’ve learned from them, marami akong natutunan. Marami akong na-discover from those projects, but this project is something different,” he explained.
Alden Richards stressed that in this project, he can feel that his passion is kicking in every single day of their taping.
