Jollibee Releases ‘Thank You’ Video Towel Fiasco
JOLLIBEE – Homegrown fast-food operator Jollibee Foods Corp. released a ‘thank you’ video after the ‘fried towel’ incident.
Angelique Perez’s post went viral on all social media platforms after she claimed that the Jollibee Chickenjoy she ordered via Grab turned out to be a deep-fried towel coated in breading.
She said, “This is really disturbing… How the hell do you get the towel in the batter and even fry it!?!?” She also shared photos and videos of the ‘fried towel’ she received.
Angelique Perez also sought the help of Raffy Tulfo in hopes of resolving the issue. She asked the veteran journalist if Jollibee was responsible for them.
The popular fast-food chain immediately acted and ordered a 3-day closure on their branch in Bonifacio Global City (BGC). They said they will “thoroughly review its compliance with procedures and retrain its store team” to ensure that it will not happen again.
