Customer Seeks Help From Raffy Tulfo After Posting “Fried Towel” On Social Media

FRIED TOWEL – Customer sought the help of journalist and radio personality Raffy Tulfo over “fried towel” issue.

A Facebook user named Angelique Perez has buzzed the online community recently after she posted a picture of the fried chicken she ordered from a local fast food restaurant in Taguig via GrabFood. She aired her frustration on her Facebook account after receiving a well-battered fried towel.  

She described how she found it was difficult to slice and after tearing it open with her hands, she was shocked to see that it was a blue towel. Perez said, “This is really disturbing. How the hell do you get the towel in the batter and even fry it.”

Angelique Perez went on to express her concern that the fast-food restaurant continued using “the same oil for how many hours after frying this FRIED TOWEL.” She said the towel possibly contaminated the food served to other customers.

Perez’ post has garnered various reaction from the netizens. As of this writing her post has been shared 79K times.

Recently, Angelique Perez expressed her concern to Raffy Tulfo’s program ‘Raffy Tulfo in Action.’ She told the veteran broadcaster that she decided to post the photo and video of the “fried towel” and even the time of her order on Grab so that she won’t be criticized and suspected that she was just fabricating the issue.

Since she did not have the contact number of Jollibee Bonifacio stopover in BGC, she forwarded her complaint to the Grab delivery rider. With the rider’s help, she was able to talk to one of the staff there and promised that they will investigate the issue.

After going viral in her post regarding the “friend towel” she received, Angelique Perez said he consulted a lawyer. She said she asked if the establishment was responsible for them. Raffy Tulfo clarified that no case can be filed against her because her post is not for “manira” but for awareness.
