BJMP Naga Allows Married Inmates to Have One-Hour Monthly ‘Bebe Time’ with Their Legal Spouses
BJMP Naga will allow the Persons deprived of liberty at the Naga City District Jail to spend one-hour monthly “bebe time” with their legal spouses.
The program aims to help inmates maintain their relationships and emotional well-being despite being behind bars.
According to jail officials, the visit is allowed only once a month and is open to inmates who are legally married, whether through a civil or church ceremony. Because of this, inmates are often encouraged to formalize their relationships so they can qualify for the privilege.

To support the program, the facility has prepared four small apartment units inside the jail. These spaces are used exclusively for the visits, giving couples a private and comfortable area where they can spend time together.
The arrangement is carefully scheduled to ensure that all eligible inmates are given a fair chance.
For many inmates, the short moment means a lot. Even just one hour with their spouse can bring comfort, strengthen their bond, and remind them of life outside the jail. It also gives their partners a chance to see them and share a quiet moment, away from the usual visiting areas.
Jail officials believe that programs like this help improve the overall well-being of inmates. By allowing them to stay connected with their families, they are more likely to remain hopeful and motivated to change for the better.
The one-hour visit may seem short, but for many couples, it is enough to bring smiles and a sense of closeness. It serves as a reminder that even in difficult situations, love and support can still find a way.
Through this effort, the BJMP in Naga continues to focus not only on security but also on the human side of those under their care.
