This is what Claudine Barretto said about her ex-boyfriend Mark Anthony Fernandez

Optimum Star Claudine Barretto made revelations about her past relationship with actor Mark Anthony Fernandez that lasted for two years.

Claudine and Mark were more than onscreen partners in the past. However, that only lasted for a couple of years and they separated. In a recent interview on PEP, the actor said that “love is lovelier the second time around” when he was asked about his reunion movie with his ex-girlfriend.

Finally, the reunion movie of Claudine and Mark is currently in the works after it was canceled a few years ago. The movie is titled Deception, and it is a joint venture of Viva Films and Borracho Film Productions Inc.

Following that statement of Mark Anthony Fernandez, Claudine Barretto was asked to react. The Optimum Star revealed that after she heard about that, she called her ex-boyfriend.

“Narinig ko nga ‘yan. Kagabi tinawagan ko siya. Sabi ko, ‘Mark, ano yung sinasabi mo na love is lovelier the second time around?’ Wala lang, tawa lang kami nang tawa. The good thing about Mark and I, we never really had a problem,” she shared.

Then, she mentioned that here was no closure between her and the actor. “So, even if wala kaming closure sa relationship namin before, he has always been the same Mark na minahal nating lahat. Alam naman nating lahat na napakabuting tao ni Mark. Hindi naman talaga mahirap mahalin si Mark. Bilang kaibigan, mahal na mahal ko ‘yan,” Claudine shared.

The actress added that even though she and Mark are not seeing each other most of the time, they talk over the phone about the past and their upcoming movie together.

For Claudine, the previous movie project with Mark did not push through maybe because this current project is what really meant for them to do.
