This is how Toni Gonzaga handles rejection for her YouTube channel
Actress-host Toni Gonzaga shared how she would react to personalities who rejected her invitation for an interview on her Toni Talks vlog on YouTube.
Toni is just one of the many celebrities who joined the vlogging trend. She shared that it was her younger sister Alex Gonzaga who encouraged her to do vlogging. At first, she was apprehensive about it as she can be as funny and as lively as Alex.
However, Toni eventually had her shining moment while interviewing her guests. She shared that Toni Talks was an idea of her husband Direk Paul Soriano. From a team of three people, Toni, her husband, and her road manager, the the number of production people behind it increased.
Now, Toni Gonzaga’s interviews with different personalities became inspirations to her viewers. She shared that she personally approach people she wants to be in her YouTube show, based on the article in The Philippine Star.
“Nakakatuwa kasi nag-go-grow na siya, nakaka-earn na kami ng mga ‘yes’ from the guests. Of course, it’s a humbling experience for me because I personally ask the guests kung pwede sila to sit down with me,” she said.
Toni also said that there were personalities who already said “no” to her invitation butshe does not dwell on these rejections.
“Some will say no and some will say yes. And then, ang cue ko nga lagi if nag-yes, maybe it’s God’s will. ‘Pag hindi naman, it’s not time siguro. In life naman talaga (may nag-no-no),” the actress-host said.
Then, she said that she is not a newbie when it comes to rejections. “Sanay na ako sa ‘No!’ nung bata ako (laughs). All the auditions that I attended as a child gave me ‘No.’ So, it’s no longer personal for me and also, it’s not yet the right time,” Toni Gonzaga shared.
