With leading men, Gerald Anderson and JM De Guzman, famous actress Yam Concepcion landed on the leading role which is a bit daring. In the teasers that have come out online, people talked about the intimate scenes of the newest drama series from the ABS-CBN network, Init Sa Magdamag, featuring these top artists.

In a previous article, Yam has been warned of Gerald’s reputation with his leading ladies. She was told that he is “matinik sa babae” and “hindi loyal” but one she assured of is her first-hand experience with him – very professional and gentleman. She said, “Pero hindi eh. ‘Pag katrabaho mo si Gerald, he’s very professional.”

As much as everyone is aware of, his current girlfriend is Julia Barretto, his leading lady in Between Maybes, and the other leading ladies he had who got romantically linked to him are Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and his ex-girlfriend Bea Alonzo.

But Yam has been in a long-term relationship with his boyfriend. In an interview she did with Boy Abunda, she shared her boyfriend’s reaction to her role. Accordingly, he is so happy for her as she finally got her first leading role. Personally, she is still in disbelief that she finally landed on her first lead role after a decade of waiting and working. She said that “it’s a great feeling”.

As per her boyfriend’s reaction, she shared, “He’s very proud. After how many years, finally, you know, sabi pa nga niya sa ‘kin. Sabi ko, ‘Parang I don’t wanna do this project kasi parang di ko kaya yung bigat, yung responsibilidad kasi you’re the lead’.”

Amid her doubts, it was her boyfriend who pushed her and encouraged her to do it. He was among the very first persons who believed that she deserved it because he saw how she worked hard for it.
