Why Yam Concepcion Rejected the Guesting Offers from Other Networks
YAM CONCEPCION – The Kapamilya actress revealed the reason why she rejected the guesting offers from other networks.
Following the denial of the franchise bid of ABS-CBN, many people working in the Kapamilya network lost their job. More than ten thousand individuals are working in the said network.
The franchise of the Kapamilya network reached its expiry. More than three months ago, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) released a Cease and Desist Order against the network.
Several issues were surrounding the network and those were discussed during the 13 hearings held for the matter. The House Franchise Committee then decided whether to deny or grant the network a 25-year franchise.
With a 70-11 voting last July 10, the ABS-CBN Network was denied on its bid for a fresh 25-year franchise. The event that many people did not see coming was following by employee retrenchment.
One of the Kapamilya celebrities who is grateful that she still has a work now is actress Yam Concepcion. She is one of the cast members of Love Thy Woman that airs on Kapamilya Channel and Kapamilya Online Live.
Based on a report on Pep, Yam Concepcion confirmed receiving guesting offers from other networks. She rejected these offers as she stressed that she is still under the Kapamilya network.
“I’m still under the Kapamilya Channel… Pinipili kong manatili as a Kapamilya… Nagpapasalamat ako sa Kapamilya, sa ABS-CBN dahil kahit ganito iyong sitwasyon, may trabaho pa rin ako,” the actress said.
Based on the report, after Love Thy Woman, Yam is set to start on a new project under her home network. The actress is very excited for her new project.
Love Thy Woman is set to air its final episode on Friday, September 11. Following the denial of the ABS-CBN franchise, Mr. Johnny Manahan who heads the network’s talent arm, Star Magic, gave the artists the liberty to work with other networks.
