“Init Sa Magdamag” is the newest drama series from ABS-CBN network featuring top artists such as Yam Concepcion, Gerald Anderson, and JM De Guzman. And even before it started airing in free television, there have been some controversies already involving Anderson following his issues in his love life and reputation with his ex-girlfriend and former leading ladies.
And with all these issues, people online have gone to Yam’s social media and warned her about Anderson. To recall, there was an interview with the actor before where he shared that he gets lost in her eyes whenever they do a scene, and now, in one of her latest interviews to promote their upcoming series, she has finally spoken. Yam spoke about the actor as a leading man and described him as someone who is very gentlemanly and someone she has nothing to fear with.
Anderson has this certain reputation involving his leading ladies who eventually become his girlfriend in real life. Julia Barretto is his current girlfriend, who is his leading lady in Between Maybes. He also got linked to Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach after they did a movie, and Bea Alonzo, his girlfriend before Barretto, is also his leading lady in a movie. This is why people couldn’t help but suspect him considering the pattern he has with his leading ladies and former girlfriends.
Yam attested that he is very professional when it comes to working. She said to Philstar, “Si Gerald, maraming ‘di nakakaalam, s’yempre napanood nila sa TV, ganyan, ang sinasabi nila, ‘Naku, matinik sa babae,’ ganyan. ‘Di loyal,’ ganyan. Pero hindi eh. ‘Pag katrabaho mo si Gerald, he’s very professional.”
She also added that he is a gentleman and has never made her feel that there’s malice whenever they do intimate scenes together. “It’s just purely work,” she said about the actor defending him from his “playboy image”. Their series will start airing on April 19 on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5.
