Is the partnership of ABS-CBN Network and Cignal-TV5 going to happen soon?
ABS-CBN NETWORK – Two of the biggest networks in the country, ABS-CBN Network, and Cignal-TV5 will allegedly have a partnership.
The House Franchise Committee has rejected the fresh franchise bid of ABS-CBN, the biggest network in the country and 70 lawmakers have also voted to junk this during the last hearing. Most of them are allies of President Rodrigo Duterte who once publicly vowed to do anything to block the tv network’s franchise renewal.

However, despite the shut down, the network continued their mission. They remained to offer their services to the people by giving them real-time news and updates and entertainment. This is made possible through their social media platforms and other partnerships that carry some of their programs.
During the typhoons and calamities, people online expressed how big ABS-CBN is as a loss. he biggest media company in the Philippines comes with 35 regional television stations, 16 FM stations, and 3 AM stations which made it as the biggest network that they can even reach far-flung areas.
And in a report from PhilStar as written by Ricky Lo, the long-rumored partnership of ABS-CBN Network and Cignal-TV5 will be announced soon. To recall, most of the artists who left the Kapamilya network transferred to TV5 to which some included Maja Salvador, Billy Crawford, Piolo Pascual, and many others.
The article has also stated, “The bigwigs of both networks are mum on the matter at the moment. Funfare sources said that the big announcement will be made at a presscon anytime…this week?”
It is accordingly going to be a win-win situation for both networks as the Kapamilya network will have a “wider free-TV reach nationwide” while the TV5 will be an extended home for the Kapamilya artists.
