The wearing of face mask when going outdoors and the practice of social distancing have become protocols now amid the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Most establishments require a face shield aside from face mask.

Currently, schools have yet to return to normal. Lessons are delivered through blended learning or with the use of modules and online classes instead of the usual face-to-face class instruction.

Meanwhile, many people keep their eyes focus on the ray of hope – the development of the COVID-19 vaccines. The Philippines has already received doses of Sinovac and AstreZeneca and have started vaccinating the healthcare workers.

However, despite that the vaccination program has already started, the people must not be complacent. Recently, DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III identified the areas that are under “critical risk”.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Duque said that Pasay City and Malabon City are considered as critical risk areas. Makati, Navotas, and San Juan are under “high risk level”.

The Health Chief also identified the health care utilization rate of the hospital. Based on the report, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and Region 7 have the highest rates. Davao Occidental and Makati City also have high rates while the following areas are under “moderate risk”:

  • Lapu-Lapu City
  • Ormoc City
  • Nueva Vizcaya
  • Santiago City
  • Ifugao
  • Mandaue City
  • Mandaluyong City
  • Cebu
