Willie Revillame received this positive words from a former employee
Veteran TV host Willie Revillame was defended by a former employee amid the “bawal tingnan” issue.
It can be recalled that a former production intern revealed on a podcast interview that in Wowowin’s studio back when the show was still airing on GMA, they were not allowed to talk to or even look at Willie, fondly called as Kuya Wil in the entertainment industry.
The former production intern even claimed that if they failed to follow this rule, their supervisor will be reprimanded.
On his online show, Wilyonaryo, Willie Revillame debunked the allegation against him. He pointed out that intrigues were already surfacing after he announced that Wowowin will return.
Before this issue came out, there has been speculations that he will return to GMA as he was seen having dinner with Kapuso executives. However, a source stressed that it was just a friendly dinner and now contracts were discussed.
Defending himself, Willie stressed that he never met the said former production intern. The veteran TV host even dared the former production intern to go the studio and tell him personally when the specific incident happened.
Willie was also defended by a former employee. Abante entertainment writer Jun Lalin shared that they recently saw Owen Ercia, who was known to many avid viewers of the show, and he debunked the allegation against Willie.
“Pagdating naman sa isyung ‘yon, ipagtatanggol ko si Kuya Wil. Walang ganu’n. Walang sinasabi na bawal siyang tingnan. Nagulat din ako sa isyung ‘yan. Ewan ko sino ‘yung supervisor ng intern na ‘yon na nagsabi sa kanya na bawal tingnan si Kuya Wil. Pero mali nga ‘yon,” Owen shared.
The entertainment writer also shared that it was Owen who first approach them and voluntarily defended Willie Revillame.
“Ang sarap lang na kahit wala na kay Willie si Owen ay ipinagtanggol pa rin niya ang TV host-producer sa nasabing isyung, ha!” Lalin said.
