John Prats Admits He Still Wanted To See Heart Evangelista Again
HEART EVANGELISTA – Nostalgia filled the air as John Prats and Heart Evangelista shared a heartwarming and playful reunion on Heart World Season 2.
For many fans, seeing former screen partners reunite after decades is always a poignant reminder of nostalgia. That was exactly what happened when John Prats finally reunited with his former girlfriend and loveteam partner, Heart Evangelista, during the actor-director’s guest appearance on “Heart World Season 2” of GMA Network, which is also featured on the “ATM” (Adventure, Taste, Moments) YouTube channel.
Their reunion immediately caught the attention of viewers, especially longtime supporters who remembered their popular pairing years ago. It also fulfilled a wish previously expressed by John during his 30th birthday press conference in February 2023.
At the time, John was asked if he still had plans to return to acting or if he intended to stay behind the camera as a concert director. His answer surprised many.
“Puwede lang akong umarte ulit kapag si Heart (Evangelista) ang makakasama ko, pag siya, anytime aarte ulit ako.”
The statement left reporters curious as to why he specifically mentioned Heart. It turned out that John still felt that their loveteam ended too soon. As he admitted during his interview with Heart, “Ako ang sumira ng loveteam natin.”
When the two finally saw each other again at the venue, the chemistry between them was still undeniable. They greeted each other warmly, and Heart appeared visibly excited while talking to John. Observers even noticed how she kept looking at him while the actor seemed slightly shy and occasionally glanced to the side.
“Grabe totoo na ‘to (nagkita) Hearty after how many years? Twenty plus years? Since ano, you left ABS-CBN, (2008) ‘no?” said John.
Heart quickly teased him with, “Since I left you, charot! Ha-hahaha!”
John could only laugh at the joke before replying, “Ha-hahahaha! Ang tapang na nito, ah?”
“I changed!” Heart answered playfully.
Heart later introduced John by saying, “There’s someone in my life that I haven’t seen. It’s up to you to decide.”
“Puwede ba kayong maging friends ng past mo or puwede kayong ‘wag maging friends? But today I think we’re friends,” she said.
Many fans could not help but wonder if the reunion might eventually lead to a movie or television project together. Although the topic was never brought up during the interview, supporters remain hopeful that the two stars could someday share the screen once again.
