“Thanks for dropping by, sir,” read the caption on Andrea’s Instagram story.

Because of the timing of the post, many people assumed that Sen. Bato had recently paid a visit to the actress. However, according to a newspaper report published on Monday, May 18, Andrea later clarified that the photo was actually an old one.

She explained, “That’s an old photo… Maybe 3 years ago! It was a memory that showed up, and I reposted.”

Andrea also admitted that she simply joined the online conversations and memes surrounding the issue without expecting the post to gain massive attention.

“[Just] riding the issue for the memes! Lol didn’t know that it would blow up! lol,” the actress added.
