Kaye Abad Shares Emotional Journey Before Becoming Cancer Free
KAYE ABAD – Actress Kaye Abad shocked netizens after opening up about her private journey with breast cancer for the very first time.
Actress Kaye Abad surprised fans, followers, and netizens after revealing that she successfully overcame her battle with breast cancer. Many were shocked by the revelation because Kaye never gave any hint about the serious health challenges she quietly faced back in 2025.
In February 2026, Kaye previously shared that she had been diagnosed with the viral infection “Herpangina.” However, she never mentioned anything about battling breast cancer at the time.
In a birthday vlog released on Sunday, May 17, Kaye opened up about her nearly year-long breast cancer journey. The actress documented her treatment and recovery process, including the time she spent in Singapore with her husband, Paul Jake Castillo, for medical care.
According to Kaye, everything started when she experienced severe stomach pain, which she initially thought was just simple acidity. However, the pain reportedly lasted for almost six hours, prompting her to seek medical attention.
During her check-up, doctors discovered that she had gallstones in her gall bladder, leading her to undergo surgery for their removal. Following the procedure, her doctor also recommended that she undergo a mammogram because of her age.
It was during the mammogram that doctors found a malignant or cancerous tumor growing in her breast. The tumor had reportedly already reached four centimeters in size.
Kaye also shared that she and her husband temporarily entrusted the care of their two children to relatives while she focused on treatment and recovery. The actress admitted that there is also a history of breast cancer in their family, which made the diagnosis less surprising for her.
Despite the difficult journey, Kaye said that her strong faith in God, along with the unwavering support of her husband and family, helped her overcome the illness.
Because of this, Kaye happily announced that she now considers herself cancer-free.
Her revelation immediately drew support, prayers, and congratulatory messages from netizens and fellow celebrities who admired her strength and courage in overcoming cancer.
