DONNALYN BARTOLOME – Popular vlogger and singer Donnalyn Batolome admired for her great efforts to help the victims of Typhoon Ulysses.

Assistance and immediate response were already deployed by respective LGUs but the few rescuers were not enough to save everyone right away. Thus, famous influencer and singer Donnalyn Bartolome took the initiative to help.

With her capacity, she bought boats to rescue more stranded residents and used her wide social media followings and reach to call for more help to save more people. Tens of thousands of homes in low-lying suburbs were covered by flood and the persons living in there have no choice but to settle on their rooftops and wait for rescue.

“Get to safety everyone… [on the way] to Marikina right now to deliver more boats but [I got stalled because of the flood]. So sorry we are trying our best [just] please wait. MARIKINA [PLEASE] WAIT you’re next… rescuers [please] standby,” she said in her Facebook post on November 12 showing photos of the boats she bought.

She also asked help from more rescuers to help voluntarily and she’s even more than willing to pay for those who will. She particularly called help from those who can swim and paddle. And to let people know and in hopes to have more help to come, she would often update her social media account from time to time to describe the situation.

“Boats are now in the care of [councilor] Elvis Tolentino and Marikina rescuers for future floods. [For] now [let’s move on to relief] goods,” she said in her latest update.
