Netizen Warns Public About Elderly Scammer Victimizing Kind People
A male netizen expressed his disappointment after victimized by an elderly scammer claiming that he needs help.
A Facebook user named Darren M. Esliza II has expressed his dismay after he was victimized by an unidentified scammer together with its colleague. His post circulated online and elicits comments from the online community.
Darren narrated that an old man approached him seeking help to find someone who could drive a truck to deliver their fish products to Batangas. However, he had no idea where to find a driver who could help the old man.
The old man told Esliza to approach another guy beside the road who responded well. The stranger guy offered to bring the old man to his driver friend. The scammer even left his P17,000 cash to them.
The stranger guy left his wallet and phone to the old as proof that he will not scam the elderly scammer and also convinced Darren to give his valuables to the old man.

“Ito po kasi nangyari nasa monumento napo ako kanina, then habang naglalakad ako may kumausap saking matandang lalaki, sabi niya may alam ba ako na may makukuhaan ng driver po para ma deliver daw yung mga isda nila sa batangas. Then sabi ko “diko po alam eh sa iba na lng po kayo mag tanong” then sabi niya tulungan mo na lng ako magtanong tapos may tinuro siya na lalaki sabi niya tanong mo kaya sa lalaki na yun. Then ako naman nagtanong “kuya patulong daw “ayun nga sabi niya may kilala raw siya dun sa bandang area ko namakakatulong ayun na nga po naglalakad na kaming tatlo dun papuntang edsa, tapos po inaalok kami ng matanda ng pera pang meryenda daw sabi ko ” Wag napo oks napo yung natulungan namin kayo ” ayun nakapag usap na nga yung lalaki na may alam saan makakuha ng driver. Tinanong ko din sa matanda bakit ika ika siya maglakad sabi niya is nasagasaan daw yung sinasakyan nila kanina kaya naipit daw yung paa niya. Ayun na nga po. Naglalakad na kami ulit nagsabi sakin ung matanda na itabi ko daw yung pera niya na 17k nasa medyas nakalagay nakitak rin yon. tapos tinali niya pinalagay niya sa bag ko then. Nagsabi siya saming dalawa yung tumulong sa kanya na nagtitiwala ako sainyo pwde bang baka iwan niyo kasi ako.” Tapos binagay ng lalaki yung phone niya at wallet niya sa matanda para pagkatiwalaan siya at ako naman kinulit din kaya nabigay ko yung cp ko. Ayun po tapos sinabihan ako ng lalaki na hintayin ko sila sa kabilang tawid sa jollibee habang tumatawid ako sa tulay nakita ko silang dalawa na sumakay ng Taxi then kinabahan na ako sabi ko sa sarili ko ” Na scam ako 🙁 ” then na curios ako sa pinatabing pera sakin ng matanda para alam ko kung babalik sila ayun pagkabuksan ko 100 lng tapos puro papel na.
Sinabi din pala mga name nila ung matanda ‘ Michael ang pangalan tapos ung kasabwat niya Joseph’”
