Update on Negros Occidental Province COVID-19 Cases Now
NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – The province recorded three (3) new cases of coronavirus or COVID-19 amid the pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected a lot of countries including the Philippines. Over 200 nations and territories now got confirmed cases of the said disease. It has already been declared by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a pandemic after its effect went beyond what is expected.
In the Philippines, there is now a total of 26,781 COVID-19 cases; 1,103 deaths; and 6,552 recoveries according to the Department of Health (DOH).

Currently, the entire PH is under a community quarantine. Cebu City was placed again under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) while the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) in Metro Manila and several other areas are extended until June 30.
One of the provinces under the Modified GCQ is Negros Occidental. Recently, three (3) new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the province.
Based on a report on Aksyon Radyo Bacolod, the Department of Health (DOH) Region VI said that two (2) of the new coronavirus patients are Locally Stranded Individuals or LSIs.
One of the LSIs is a 19-year-old female in Cauayan while the other LSI is 30-years-old male in Hinobaan. The other patient a 24-year-old male in Escalante City.
According to the report, there is now a total of 27 cases of coronavirus recorded in the province. As of now, there are still no further information regarding the three (3) new COVID-19 patients in the province.
