Police In Hong Kong Caught On Video Stealing Drinks From Store During Protest

HONG KONG PROTESTS – Amid the protests in Hong Kong due to a new security policy imposed by China, police were caught on video stealing drinks from convenience stores.

The people of Honk Kong are once again fighting for their freedom against the Chinese Communist Party. Despite the coronavirus, residents have rallied against the CCP’s plans to tighten its grip in Hong Kong.

Recently, new security legislation was imposed by the CCP which could potentially take away the autonomy, rights, and freedoms guaranteed to Hong Kong by China. This directly violates the Sino-British Joint Declaration.

According to a report from the New York Times, more than 180 people have been arrested during the protest. It was a tiresome set event for both protesters and the police.

With this in mind, some of the parched policemen took it upon themselves to get drinks and food items from convenience stores for free. Clearly, this act would be considered as theft, but, if the people stealing your products are the police themselves, who are you going to call?

Due to fears, the store owner or shoppers couldn’t say anything to the policemen who flocked by the hundreds in the streets. This left the people in the convenience store in a state of shock because of what happened.

The video went viral on the social platform Reddit. As such, netizens on the site criticized the police for what they did. Here are some of their comments:

And obviously nobody can say anything because not only will it be ignored, but knowing the hong kong police force I wouldn’t take my chances with them.

There’s no guarantee that they are even HK natives. If I remember right, China authorities were relocating some personnel from other regions as a backup

As a person totally from the outside I expect that most of these “riot police” are from mainland China and not native to Hong Kong.
