Barbie Forteza gets honest about Khalil Ramos as her recent leading man
Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza praised her Saving Cherry leading man, actor-singer Khalil Ramos, and this stirred controversy over her past leading men.
Over the years, Barbie has shared the same frame with various leading men. She was first paired with former actor Joshua Dionisio in the Philippine adaptation of Stairway to Heaven back in 2009.
Barbie was also paired with actor Derrick Monasterio for two of her teleserye projects, The Half Sisters and Inday Will Always Love You. This was followed by Andre Paras, whom she worked with in The Half Sisters and That’s My Amboy.

In 2017, she had four leading men in the romantic comedy series Meant To Be, featuring Ken Chan, Ivan Dorschner, Addy Raj, and Jak Roberto, who became her real-life boyfriend.
This year, Barbie Forteza did several TV and movie projects. In the series Beauty Empire, she worked with Sam Concepcion and Choi Bo-min as her leading men. She was paired with Jameson Blake in the movie Kontrabida Academy.
The most recent movie project that Barbie had was Saving Cherry with Khalil Ramos as her leading man. In an interview during the media conference for this upcoming film, Barbie was asked about working with Khalil.
She called the actor the “ideal leading man.” “Finally, nagkaroon na ko ng leading man na maayos,” Barbie stressed with the gesture of relief that what she said finally happened. Then, the actress laughed.

She continued by enumerating the good qualities that she saw in Khalil. “Brilliant actor, ibabalik ko sa kaniya, he’s also an actor’s actor,” she said. Barbie also said that she loves working with actors who love what they do, understand what they are doing, and why they are here.
The actress also highlighted that trait she likes in a co-star, and that is being hungry to do good and be good. Barbie Forteza stressed that Khalil Ramos is professional and a gentleman. She added that Khalil and his girlfriend, actress Gabbi Garcia, are indeed the “goal.”
In the comment section of the Reddit post about this, some netizens agreed with what she said, while some commented that seemingly Barbie wanted to say that her past leading men weren’t “matino.” A netizen pointed out that her honesty is commendable, but this can give negative perceptions about her. Here are some comments.
