Customer Expresses Dismay Over Alleged Spoiled ‘Bilao’ Package Ordered for Child’s Birthday
A female customer was disappointed after the ‘Bilao’ package she ordered for her child’s birthday allegedly arrived spoiled.
A supposed happy birthday celebration for a child in Barangay Bancao-Bancao, Puerto Princesa City, reportedly turned into a frustrating and embarrassing experience after a catering order arrived late, incomplete, and allegedly spoiled.
According to Mommy Leng, she booked a Bilao Package from a catering service for her child’s birthday celebration on August 4, 2026. The package reportedly included eight food trays and a birthday cake worth P3,000.
The food was expected to arrive at around 3:00 p.m., the scheduled start of the party. However, the delivery allegedly arrived three hours late, reaching the venue at around 6:00 p.m.
By that time, guests had already been waiting for a long period. To make matters worse, only five food trays were reportedly delivered instead of the eight that had been ordered.
Mommy Leng also claimed that several dishes were not in good condition. She said some of the food lacked flavor, while the palabok had become watery. More concerning, she alleged that the carbonara and some of the other dishes were already spoiled when they arrived.
The family reportedly felt embarrassed in front of their guests. Many attendees had waited patiently for the meal, only to find that some of the food was no longer suitable to eat.
The customer said the catering service later apologized for the incident. However, she claimed that the business did not accept responsibility for the allegedly spoiled food and was also reluctant to provide a refund for the problematic order.
Mommy Leng said she was blocked on social media while trying to address the issue with the catering service.
Meanwhile, efforts are reportedly being made to reach the catering service for its side of the story regarding the complaint.
