Vhong Navarro on having no live studio audience in Its Showtime.
ITS SHOWTIME – One of the hosts of Its Showtime Vhong Navarro has this reaction about having no live audience for a while now.
Since March 10, the Kapamilya noontime show Its Showtime resumed airing minus their live studio audience. This is due to the growing confirmed cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-2019) in the Philippines.
Also, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declared a state of public health emergency and this affected the network prompting some of their programs to continue to air even without the live audience. At such, the affected programs include Magandang Buhay, Banana Sundae, I Can See Your Voice, ASAP Natin ‘To, and I Want ASAP.
With the absence of Madlang People, host Vhong Navarro expressed his sadness over it. For 10 years, they have been with their audience and since then very interactive with them. And to lost them suddenly without having someone to laugh at their jokes made him sad.
He said based on PEP, “Kapag pagod kasi kami, sa kanila kami kumukuha ng lakas dahil sa mga ngiti at saya nila. Ngayon, mas doble ang effort namin para mapaabot ang saya sa televiewers.”
Meanwhile, it is still uncertain when they are going to admit live studio audience again, most especially now that World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 as “pandemic”. Also, confirmed cases due to this climbed up to 49 patients. And the country already recorded its first Filipino death related to COVID-19 on Wednesday.
