Coronavirus Patient in Manila Died – DOH
DOH – The Department of Health confirmed that a patient of the 2019 novel coronavirus in Manila died.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the Philippines continue to increase. Currently, the confirmed cases in the country is at 49.
Undeniably, the upward trend of the confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country causes worries to a lot of people. The authorities continue to encourage the people to avoid public places and observe proper hygiene to prevent infection.
Most of the confirmed patients of coronavirus are in Metro Manila. The Department of Health has previously confirmed a local transmission in the case of the 5th patient – a 62-year-old man who has no travel history abroad.
The authorities are strictly monitoring the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country. Also, tracing of the people they had a close contact with is also ongoing.
Individuals who had a close contact to the patients may be put as patients under investigation or persons under monitoring. It depends on the authorities’ assessment.
Recently, there were reports that a coronavirus patient in Manila died. The The Department of Health (DOH) has issued a statement confirming the said reports.
According to the health department, the said coronavirus patient who passed away was confined at Manila Doctors Hospital. They are already gathering further information regarding the said case.
