Robin Padilla also praised the president of the ABS-CBN network, Carlo Katigbak, for apologizing to the chief executive for unintentionally offending him. The tv network’s official explained why they weren’t able to air some of Duterte’s campaign ads.

“Ako naman ay nagpapasalamat una sa Panginoong Dios at umabot sa pagpapakumbaba si Sir Carlo Katigbak ng ABS-CBN,” he said.

Robin and his fellow actor Philip Salvador were recently asked if they opposed the franchise renewal of the Kapamilya network. Both of them were vocal supporters of Duterte.

According to the report, Robin Padilla and Philip Salvador were glad that their fellow actor and Senator mentioned the issue of the media network’s failure to give overtime pay to its talents and production crews.

ABS-CBN chief operating officer Cory Vidanes clarified that their actors are not provided with OT pay because they are being paid per show or per taping day.

“This is very healthy for all Filipinos… para sa lahat ito, para sa taumbayan,” Salvador said.
