Darren clarified that their remarks were simply part of their friendship and playful on-air banter. This indicated that they have moved past their recent viral exchange on the noontime show, making it clear that their on-air remarks were nothing more than friendly banter.

To recall, they caught viewers’ attention during the “Miss Q and A” segment of the Kapamilya noontime show on September 4. Their exchange began after they showcased their dancing skills to Brandon Beal’s “Twerk It Like Miley.”

Brent playfully commented on Darren’s dancing, joking that the singer’s moves were obviously influenced by his background in The Voice. Darren, who was a finalist and first runner-up on The Voice Kids Philippines in 2014, responded by highlighting his being a multi-talented performer.

Brent then brought up his own experience as a former Pinoy Big Brother housemate, saying that he had been tested by the challenges of life because of his time in the reality show.

The PBB big winner said, “Ako, subok ako sa hamon ng buhay dahil nanggaling ako sa PBB.”

Darren quickly fired back with a remark about Brent’s stint inside the PBB house. The comment drew surprised reactions from co-hosts Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis, as well as the studio audience.

Espanto expressed, “Parang wala ka naman masyadong ganap doon sa loob ng bahay.”

It was a playful exchange between them, but the remarks were sharp.
