Atty. Topacio has this warning for Nadine Lustre after she backed out as Viva artist.
NADINE LUSTRE – Atty. Ferdinand Topacio warns Nadine Lustre and those that will get her services as artist following issue versus Viva.
Based on previous article, an issue stirred when Nadine Lustre announced the termination of her contract with Viva Artists Agency (VAA) and opted to manage her own career in show business. To recall, she has been with the agency since 2009. This came after her ex-boyfriend James Reid leaving VAA to manage his independent record label Careless Music where she also signed a contract with last December 2019.
Through Kapunan & Castillo Law Offices, the actress announced that she is no longer a part of VAA. However, the termination might prompt cases to be filed against her by the entertainment company. VAA said in their official statement, “Contrary to the Press Statement, Nadine remains an exclusive artist of VIVA as she has a valid and subsisting Management Contract.”
Moreover, a case might also be filed against the third party that will get her services as an artist without the consent of Viva constituting to breach of contract. With this, known celebrity lawyer Atty. Ferdinand Topacio says the same thing as a warning to the actress and those that will have engagement with her based on PEP.
Meanwhile, amid the stirring issues against the agency who sheltered her for more than a decade now, Lustre’s camp accuses them of taking advantage of its talents. Accordingly, “It’s about time that a David strikes out a Goliath that has taken advantage of young artists in the industry for the longest time.”
