Viva may file a case against Nadine Lustre if this happens
Viva Artists Agency (VAA) may file a case against actress Nadine Lustre if this particular thing happens after she announced terminating her contract with the company.
In an official statement from Nadine through Kapunan & Castillo Law Offices, she announced that she is no longer under the management of VAA. It was said that the actress will now manage her showbiz career.
Following this announcement from Nadine, VAA released a statement contradicting her statement, based on the article from PEP. “Contrary to the Press Statement, Nadine remains an exclusive artist of VIVA as she has a valid and subsisting Management Contract,” the talent management company stated.
In addition, the actress cannot withdraw from the contract alone. A case may be filed against her and/or a third party that will deal with her without the consent of Viva.
According to the statement, “Any dealings or professional engagements entered into by Nadine, without the consent or approval of VIVA constitutes breach of contract. VIVA shall initiate appropriate legal action against Nadine and/or third parties that directly deal with Nadine in contravention of Viva’s Management Contract.”
Nadine Lustre has been an exclusive talent of Viva for almost a decade now. Technically speaking, she started her showbiz career with the company. Based on the article, she signed a build-up contract with Viva Artists Agency back in 2010.
In 2014, she was given a project that served as her big break, the movie Diary ng Panget with ex-boyfriend James Reid. After that, her popularity skyrocketed. Last year, she signed a recording contract with James’ independent record label Careless Music Manila. Reportedly, that hinted that she will be leaving Viva sooner or later.
