Vice Ganda lambasts Senate President Tito Sotto.

VICE GANDA – The Kapamilya artist and host Vice Ganda lambasted the concept of the Senate President Tito Sotto about womanhood in line with the issues about the SOGIE Bill.

One of the most talked-about issues in the country today is the passing of the SOGIE Bill authored by Sen. Risa Hontiveros and supported by some senators such as Senators Imee Marcos and Christopher “Bong” Go. This is following the controversies of Gretchen Diez who was reportedly harassed by not being allowed to use the woman’s restroom.

Vice Ganda, Catriona GrayPia Wurtzbach, and Anne Curtis were among the famous celebrities who are also in favor of this bill supporting the underlying thought of the bill about equality and respect no matter what the gender is. Even President Duterte is also in favor of building third bathrooms for the LGBT people.

Meanwhile, the Senate President Tito Sotto firmly objects about the passing of the said bill as it is according against the rights of the woman. He expressed, “I hate to say this but I have to, If you are a man, you will never be a woman, no matter what you do, because you cannot reproduce. You cannot give birth, you do not have ovaries. You will never be a woman. So this, to me, the SOGIE bill is a bill against women’s rights.”

And this was slammed by Vice Ganda. In an Instagram post the Kapamilya artist stated that womanhood is not just being measured by having ovaries and the capability to reproduce. He even cited those woman who got their ovaries removed because of some complication, some deciding not to get pregnant due to personal reasons, and those who were medically advised not to be pregnant due to medical reasons. To which, his concept of womanhood, have made these woman mentioned less of a woman just because.
