Risa Hontiveros Condemns Discrimination Of Transgender Woman In QC Mall

RISA HONTIVEROS – Senator Risa Hontiveros condemned the alleged harassment of the transgender woman in women’s comfort room in Quezon City mall.

Following a previous article, a transgender woman named Gretchen Custodio Diez filed a complaint against the mall employee who disallowed her from using the ladies toilet. She documented the incident after because she felt she was being ‘harassed’ by employees.

The 53-year-old senator Tweeted that Gretchen has associated with a lawyer from her office to file their formal complaint against the mall personnel.

“THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! A lawyer from my office is w/ Gretchen now. She has my full support. I am extending whatever help she would need to seek justice.”

“She is being harassed for living her truth. Discrimination against transgender people has to STOP!” she added.
