What Vic Sotto Said About Son Mayor Vico Sotto Being Called ‘Crush ng Bayan’
VIC SOTTO – Kapuso actor-television host Vic Sotto broke his silence on his son, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, being dubbed as “crush ng bayan”.
One of the most prominent victors of Election 2019 is Mayor Vico Sotto, the son of actor Vic Sotto and actress Coney Reyes. Last midterm Election 2019, he won the mayoralty race in Pasig City.
Vico ended the 27-year reign of the Eusebios in Pasig after he defeated then incumbent mayor Bobby Eusebio. He was even tagged as face of change – a young public servant who is determined to hold public service.
Aside from being called as the face of change, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto is also tagged as “babe mayor” or “crush ng bayan”. The 30-year-old mayor is still a bachelor and many are inspired by him.
Recently, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto’s father, Vic Sotto, broke his silence on his son being tagged as “crush ng bayan”. Based on a report on Pep, the Kapuso actor-TV host is happy and proud of his son.
“Ako’y natutuwa kapag nakakabalita ako ng ganyan, kasi siyempre anak ko yun, ‘no!” he said.
According to Vic, until now, he is in disbelief that he has a son who is a mayor and is excellent. Meanwhile, he stressed that his son has come prepared for what he is taking now.
Based on the report, Vic Sotto revealed that Vico Sotto really wants to engage in government since he’s a kid. According to the Kapuso actor, his son really studied for it and participated in certain activities.
“Nag-participate siya sa non-government organizations na may kinalaman sa gobyerno. Sa Ateneo School of Government, nag-masters siya dun with honors,” the proud father said.
Currently, Mayor Vico Sotto is visibly very determined to push for the betterment of Pasig. He has previously expressed that he is not into finding for a partner now as he has his focus on his tasks. According to him, he would rather sleep than go and look for a partner.
