PAGASA Expects Rainy Election Day (May 13) Due To ITCZ

PH May Experience Rainy Election Day On May 13, PAGASA Says

The state weather bureau PAGASA is expecting a rainy election day on May 13, 2019 due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that no tropical cyclone is expected to affect the country on the Election Day.

However, the ITCZ would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Visayas and Mindanao.

The 2019 midterm elections in Luzon would have partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with rainshowers or thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, the low-pressure area embedded in the ITCZ would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms across the country during the weekend.

The LPA has a small chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next few days, according to the weather agency.

The weather bureau also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides.

PAGASA has not yet officially declared the end of the dry season.
