Here’s what the Barretto sisters Claudine and Greta have said.
BARRETTO SISTERS – Newly-reconciled Claudine Barretto and Gretchen Barretto reacted when their niece Dani has not included them as among the persons who raised her.
In a vlog where Dani Barretto answered her current relationship with her real father Kier Legaspi, she has stated that she had nothing against her father and for her, it is perhaps the best that they are not talking to each other. They gave it a shot but it did not work out. Actually they have not been talking to each other for six years already.
It is where she also indicated that growing up, she never felt unloved and neglected as she had the best support system and her stepfather then has treated her well. She gave all the credit to her mother who raised well as she said, “I’ve got so much love from my mother alone. I have the best support system growing up.”
With this, her statements was seemingly taken out of context by some people. Newly-reconciled sisters Claudine and Gretchen was asked how was their feeling when their niece did not recognize them as among those persons who raised her well.
Greta admitted that it heated her heart. She also confessed, not bragging about her help and not counting anything, but she refreshed that it was her beside Marjorie Barretto while she is carrying Dani.
“Minahal ko si Dani. I thought I was her second mother and when she called me mama, sineryoso ko iyon. So parang nung sinabi niya na, ‘My mama was the only one there for me, who raised me,’ ano ako? Multo? Ano si Claudine? Multo?” she said.
She further added, “Parang for me, ouch! Hindi ba parang ouch. I was hoping na I raised, or I gave love to people who at least can be grateful. Not counting the material things that I give away. But the time, the love and the attention, ‘yun lang.”
