DANI BARRETTO HONEST ANSWERS – The famous vlogger Dani Barretto answers assumption over current relationship with her father Kier Legaspi.
The eldest of Marjorie Barretto, Dani Barretto is finally engaged with her non-showbiz boyfriend Xavi Panlilio. But right after her engagement, everyone was asking about her father Kier Legaspi. And with this, she finally answered this assumption over her current relationship with her real Dad.
Here’s what Dani’s response over the assumption that she is not talking with her “real dad” Kier Legaspi:
“I think we all have reasons when it comes to family issues and stuff. When it comes to my Dad and I, I haven’t spoken to my Dad in six years… And up until now, we’re still not in good terms… To be honest, my Dad and I never really had a solid relationship. All I know is he’s my Dad and that’s it. We had like a brief relationship which was like two months and it was nice ‘coz like, I’m not gonna say naman na parang I didn’t love him or I’m not gonna say that I don’t love him. It’s just that I guess when you’re apart for so long, you already grew up and nasanay ka na na wala yung tao sa life mo, you just feel like not naman na you don’t need the person but it’s more like you’re okay without them.”
She further explained that people might say to her that it’s her father after all but she defended that the person have hurt her so many times and each of us is handling pain differently. For her, as a child, with the fact that her father is not doing any effort to reach out to her or to help her in some way, may be she is allowed to feel bad about it and not stick to the stigma that because he’s her father, everything should just be okay in a snap.
