Karen Davila stand regarding Ces Drilon’s alleged foul statement about Gretchen Fullido’s outfits.
KAREN DAVILA STAND – Here is what ABS-CBN anchor Karen Davila has said connected to Ces Drilon’s alleged remark over Gretchen Fullido’s outfits.
In a previous article, the showbiz reporter Gretchen Fullido filed cases against two ABS-CBN Execs and colleagues.
Sexual harassment charges against Cheryl C. Favila, former ABS-CBN News Executive, and Maricar P. Asprec, ABS-CBN News Segment Producer.
And a libel case against colleagues Cecilia Drilon, Venancio Borromeo, and Marie Lozano for besmirching her reputation.
She accused Drilon of victim-shaming for allegedly saying that she deserved to be harassed since she is “willing to wear a bikini with an inflatable pool with bubbles to shove up the ratings of TV Patrol”.
This according to the Facebook post of her lawyer.
Ces Drilon denied the allegations claiming that what she said during the investigation have been distorted.
And Karen Davila, on her part, has reacted through a Twitter post, “NO to SEXUAL HARASSMENT. NO to any form of VICTIM SHAMING. Without prejudice to any of my colleagues, these values are eternal to my person.”
In this post, a netizen has commented, “I say No To Sexual Harrassment pero the way Gretchen Fullido presents herself sa public tsaka clothing niya pa lang eh tlgang nag iinvite na ng ganun. Ang case ni Drilon is shaming daw? Hindi sexual harassment pero totoo kaya yon? Tinanggal na sa abs-cbn ang involve sa sexual H.”

Thus, Davila clapped back indicating, “A woman’s wardrobe or how she looks for that matter can never be cited as a reason for sexual harassment or a sexual crime. I am not fully aware on details of the case but wanted to correct you on this one item.”
