Here’s Direk Erik Matti official statement after leaving reboot film of “Darna”.
DARNA – Director Erik Matti official statement for ABS-CBN, Liza Soberano, new director, and everyone has surfaced online after leaving “Darna”.
“Darna” film is definitely one of the much-anticipated films starring Liza Soberano for its upcoming reboot.
Angel Locsin, the actress who formerly played the role, has admitted that her first choice for the film as next “Darna” is Soberano.
Also, former “Darna” actress Nanette Medved has adviced Liza to “cherish every moment because it’s really such a unique experience”.
Marian Rivera, also a “Darna” star, has expressed that the young Kapamilya actress is “perfect” for the role given that she is beautiful, sexy, and talented.
However, as per the previous report, director of “Darna” remake Erik Matti has resigned from the film which has shocked and earned various reactions from the people.
Accordingly, what made the director leave the film is because someone is trying to alter the script he perfected for five years.
Matti did not just like the fact that the script, in an instant, is changed.
And now, after the reports of resigning from the film, Matti expressed his official statement about the matter through a post on his Facebook page.
Here’s Erik Matti official statement:
As it has been announced, I have officially resigned from the movie Darna. It’s been 5 years and how I wish I could have finished it after all the hard work that went into preparing and putting it together. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out ideally for both parties.
Darna is personal to me. My first project in the industry was as continuity supervisor for Peque Gallaga’s Darna with Anjanette Abayari. And doing this modern reboot of the classic superhero, I feel that I have come full circle in this industry.
I would like to thank my staff and crew who have toiled through the process bringing forth brilliant design and execution ideas as to how we can bring to life a uniquely modern take of our iconic Filipino superhero that can be relevant to the times.
To Liza Soberano, thank you for the dedication and commitment. I’m sure you’ll be a kickass Darna.
To Star Cinema, ABS-CBN, and the next director, I wish you all the best for this project.
