Who is the first choice of Angel Locsin for the Darna role given to Liza Soberano?
ANGEL LOCSIN – Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin revealed her “first choice” for the Darna role which was given to actress Liza Soberano.
Undeniably, many people won’t forget the excellent portrayal of Angel Locsin of the Darna role in 2005. She played the character in a television series. It is now set to be played by Liza Soberano in a movie.
Liza is visibly slimmer now which is part of the preparation for the Filipino superhero role given to her. It was in May 2017 when it was announced that she got the role.
Enrique Gil, the loveteam partner of Liza Soberano and half of LizQuen, will supposedly be part of the casts of Darna. However, he was pulled out and was given another offer.

Based on a report on Pep, Liza Soberano previously expressed that she wants to make Angel Locsin proud as she plays the character of Darna. To this, the latter felt touched.
According to Angel, she saw the interview of Liza. She expressed that she is already proud of the young actress now. The Pilipinas Got Talent host also shared what she previously told Liza.
“Siya [Liza Soberano] kasi talaga ang first choice ko, sinabi ko na sa kanya and alam kong kayang-kaya niya talaga,” she said.

Based on the report, Angel Locsin also shared how she prepared for the Darna role before. According to the actress, she really did a research on the previous Darna and stressed that every Darna is really different.
“Wala talaga yung Darna na iisa lang for me, kasi bawat artista, binigyan nila ng bagong flavor,” the actress expressed.

With the upcoming Darna movie, Angel Locsin believes that it will really be beautiful. She stressed that Liza Soberano is blessed with many reference and the technology now is really great.
“So abangan n’yo. I think magiging sobrang ganda ng Darna na ito,” she said.
