Johnny Manahan spoke about the deal between Vice Ganda and TV5
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda has recently signed a contract with TV5, and here’s starmaker Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan’s reaction to this.
Mr. M is currently working under the Kapatid network. For many years, he was the head of Star Magic, the talent management company of Vice’s home company, ABS-CBN.
Following Vice’s contract signing with TV5, he earned the Queen of all Networks moniker. It was because, aside from still being a contract star of ABS-CBN, his noontime show It’s Showtime is also airing on GMA and GTV, and now, he is set to do a project with the Kapatid network.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Johnny Manahan was asked about Vice Ganda’s contract signing with TV5. The starmaker admitted that he was surprised by this.
Mr. M agreed that this recent collaboration meant the high credibility that the Kapatid network now has. “Oo naman, kasi nagbibigay rin sila ng credibility sa amin. Tsaka pati sa amin, may confidence silang pumunta rito eh. At parang hindi naman patakbuhin iyong ginagawa namin. Maganda naman siguro,” he said.
Then, the starmaker said, “Kaya we can attract people. Vice Ganda, hindi ko nga alam kung…” Mr. M had no idea about this collaboration because he was in Prague for the TV series of Enrique Gil and Andrea Brillantes, titled Ang A Secret in Prague.
He just heard about this when the news exploded. Oo. Kaya kung minsan dito, sikreto. “Ako, nagulat ako. Pinag-uusapan nga namin, ano kaya iyon? Ano iyon may bagong basketball team ako, may iprepresenta ako. Vice Ganda pala,” the starmaker said.
Johnny Manahan also shared that they are happy that the Unkabogable Star has an upcoming project with the Kapatid network.
