Since the confirmation that Liza Soberano will play the role Darna, everyone started seeing her as the heroine and that gave her pressure.
DARNA – Instead of seeing her merely as the Liza Soberano, ever since the announcement, she was looked up now as the heroine and it just gave her the pressure.
According to a news report from Inquirer, the young actress is now being called by everyone as Darna, the iconic local heroine role that was passed through generation to generation.
A video was even posted by a fan page in Instagram, @tataklizquenofficial, where the actress shared how happy she was because the support of the people for her is overwhelming.
Though, the newest Darna role was announced weeks ago, she was officially been announced as the heroine in the episode of ASAP yesterday.
On the video, she stated, it was her first time to appear live on television after the proclamation, except on her episode on MMK.
She then further added, “Super ano pa sila may aftershock pa na ako ‘yung mag-da-Darna. I was really overwhelmed with all the greetings that I got earlier, lahat ng tao ang tawag na sa’kin Darna hindi na Liza.”
Her, portraying the role has indeed gained approval from the public, and despite the pressure she was feeling, still it will not be her reason to not believe in herself that she will do fine.
Liza also indicated that she is a bit of nervous. But furthermore, “I’m also confident that I will be able to succeed as a good role model to the younger generation.”
Her official launching to take off as Darna in ASAP was done through a smokey dance number from her.
She had said, “Ang training na ginagawa ko so far, nag-li-lift po ako ng weights para mag-gain ng muscle para maging malakas, also nag-ru-run po ako.”
