JK Labajo says that doing teleserye is “not the real acting”.
JK LABAJO – Former “The Voice Kids” contender JK Labajo says that being in a teleserye is not the real and genuine acting citing that it was just “akting-aktingan”.
JK Labajo or also known as Juan Karlos Labajo is formerly a contender of “The Voice Kids” who made it to the grand finals of the competition.
Along with him as his fellow grand finalists were Darren Espanto, Lyca Gairanod, and Darlene Vibares.
JK Labajo is known for his soothing and chilling voice as if serenading that could melt any woman’s heart probably.

However, after his appearance in the Kapamilya television series “A Love To Last” which also stars Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion.
In a report from PEP, the young singer speaks up after he was seemingly in hiatus following the said series where he said that he does not know either why his career lied low.
But now, he is focusing on his singing career, specifically, the band he built named “Juan Karlos”.

“Bigla akong nalaos, malay ko. Ayoko kasing gawin yung mga ano… usual stuff na ginagawa ng lahat. So ang ginawa ko, I followed my heart and followed what I wanted to do, which is having my own band, to create my own music.”
He added, “Medyo nag-lie-low ako actually for a while after A Love To Last. Hindi na ako napapalabas sa TV. Hindi ako kinukuha, so ayun.”
Meanwhile, he said that being in teleserye is “exposure-wise” but he indicated that it was not the real acting.

“Personally, for me, hindi talaga nasu-showcase yung totoong acting skills ng isang actor sa isang teleserye. Di mo makikita yun dun, e. Pag umiyak ka lang sa TV, actor ka na. Mag-ano ka lang, actor ka na. Well for me, it’s not real acting, it’s not genuine acting. It’s just akting-aktingan.”
And what he considers as actual acting is doing Indie films which he is open to doing so as per the report.
