Ormoc Mayor Richard Gomez’s attention was called by Raffy Tulfo himself in his program because of the complaint of one of the mayor’s people.
The video of an episode of Raffy Tulfo In Action was uploaded shared on the YouTube channel thevibes1972 where it featured a certain Patricio Laude from the Ormoc City.
Patricio went to the said program to lay his complaint about the flies in their barangay because of the poultry owned by a certain Ronnie, a former mayor.
“Lahat po kami po na lumolupyo dun sa aming barangay, gumawa po kami ng reklamo sa aming barangay captain. So, nagkaroon po ng inspection ang City Health at saka ang ENRD. Pinuntahan po nila, so, marami pong nahuli na patay na manok na tinatapon sa sapa,” the complainant said.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Ormoc City, the actor Richard Gomez was on stand by on the phone, and his response regarding the matter is, “Pinapuntahan ko na yan sa environmental tsaka sa city health office namin and then nakita namin na talagang madumi ‘yung facility niya. Pinadalhan na namin siya ng warning tsaka may report na rin na pinadala na sa regional office namin …tsaka ginawa ko rin kinausap ko yung councel natin. Sabi ko kailangang i-update natin yung ordinance natin sa city na kailangag yung mga poultry hindi kailangan yung mga conventional method ng pagpapalaki ng mga manok, kailangan ventilated na.”
Truly, the said incident is dangerous to the health of the people living on the concerned barangay.
The mayor, on the other hand, promised to act upon on the complaint to fix their barangay.
And the complainant was indeed happy for what has been the response of the official.
